According to Veritonic, more than 80% of monthly streaming audio and podcast listeners plan to travel by plane and/or car during the 2023 holiday season, and more than 87% of them will be listening to streaming audio or podcasting en route. Survey results show that more than half of their respondents want to hear audio ads for Travel/Local Amusements and Health & Fitness, with Beauty & Products and Home Improvement close behind. These topics/services can expect to see stronger-than-average performance this quarter.

According to Triton Canada, True Crime, News, Comedy and Society & Culture were the most downloaded podcast genres of 2023.
